Mari & David E-Session Part 1

Oh my where to begin! I first met the amazing Mari at the bank. Now I'm not sure how it is for everyone out there but for me there's one person at the bank I normally go to whom I've had a bad experience with, so every time I stand in line, I quietly repeat to myself over and over again

"Please don't let me get that stupid lady"

Then next thing I know the bell dings and I'm waived to by a younger friendlier looking parson. I was just so happy not to have to talk to that other lady I barely had time to think about all the horrible mosquito bites I had from the wedding that weekend!

Two minutes later after inputting all my info, Mari began to ensue some small talk, when she asked me what I did, I told her photography and a little about the reason why I was all red and splotchy ( I wasn't kidding in the previous blogs when I talked about being eaten alive by mosquitoes at Alej and Esteban's wedding!)

She immediately changed her tone of voice from polite to excited. There was a mistake during the transaction that allowed for some more discussion. She then mentions how she was newly engaged and just a couple months were left to her wedding. I didn't have any cards on me since I had left them in the card. She mentioned she had a wedding photographer but was looking for a boudoir session and possibly an e-session. I wrote my number on a paper and told her if ever she needs it to give me a call.

Next day to my surprise I received a call from Mari asking if I was able to meet her at the Starbucks next to her job, I agreed and 4 hours later, a coffee and a green tea (for her I drank water, lol coffee is not my thing!) later  we chatted about photography and everything else you can think of. Next thing I knew Mari and I were inviting each other to church, and making plans for future hang outs as well as both her sessions, not to mention being invited to her wedding, which was awesome.

Here's  part one to her engagement session; part two later on tonight and keep an eye out for her boudoir session this weekend or next week.

Little Palm Island; Alej and Esteban's Wedding

Hello! I recently posted about Alejandra and Esteban's engagement session, and now I'm here to post up the wedding. I work with so many couples and one of the best thing I get to see is that intense happiness and love over flowing in their faces. Even though I didn't post them here, I swear to you this wedding had the most tears shed I have ever seen! I'd also like to state I was one of those saps also crying (its those darn vows!). There was so much laughter. When Alejandra and I were in the room, I asked her

Me: Alej do you think there will be tears?

Alej: Nope! But I can give you tears if you want! **poses dramatically like she's in a tele-novela**

Everyone in the room started to laugh. Her mother joked in Spanish to stop being so silly.

Next thing I knew I was photographing the ceremony, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house except for maybe my assistant (and awesome bestie) Daniella.

After the boat ride back to the keys, Daniella and I got into the car and drove back home on a 2.5hr ride. Tired and itchy (those bugs don't play there!) I could not wait to go home and hug my beau. Weddings always make me all mushy. :)

Nora & Patrick

I had such an awesome time with Nora & Patrick. I'm so excited for the wedding this March! They first came to me at the end of last year. Originally they contacted me early last year and finally made their choice sometime late in the year. They joked around and laughed. Even caught some very fun bloopers of them make faces and acting all silly together.

A best friend's birthday and a Ride of a life time

Hello Everyone! I'll be posting a few posts today, since i need some catching up on the blog. :) This particular post is of course personal. This past weekend was special, it was my best friends birthday, whom you've probably seen on the blog before, and in posts to come. After an interesting Thursday, a party filled Friday, a Gravedigger of a Saturday (monster truck show :] ) followed by locking the keys in the vehicle, but Sunday on the other hand was spent on Bar-B-Ranch. We initially got there and even though we called ahead and asked if a reservation was necessary (which they said they didn't since they never fully book) we arrived to a FULLY booked ranch! There were 6 of us (her mom, step dad, brother, my boo, Daniella and I) which seemed almost impossible that we'd be riding at all that day. We stuck around like fruit flies, swarming around them hoping that there would be some type of good news, I asked if a group were to arrive late if we'd get there spots, they said it was unlikely but that if by 12om, 6 people hadn't showed up we'd get there slot.

Fast forward an hour....WE GOT IN! We were so happy and grateful, especially since it was her birthday and my First time riding. I had lots of people telling me how scary it is to ride for the first time but I was so excited I was unaware of this fear I was supposed to have. I was ironically paired with a Horse named Ricky. Which for those of you who know, my beau is also named Ricky. This was laughed about for a bit before we all mounted the horses and headed through the trails. I had such an amazing time. Ricky (the horse) was so sweet, a little stubborn but I can't wait to ride him again.

Here's a few photos. Two of the photos where taken on the iphone. Since it was my first time, I was a little hesitant to take my camera on the ride.

Also Happy Birthday to my Bestie Daniella; 7yrs and counting. :)

Alejandra & Esteban E-session

Alej and I met long before her E-session and wedding. We first met at Tobacco Road in Brickell, there we got to know each other, talked about all the fun things she had planned, the venue for her wedding, our dogs and more. Few months later she decided on the date for her engagement session, she didn't need photos for the wedding so opted to have them done closer to the wedding. I'll refrain from getting into details about the mess that happened before the e-session, lol, but Alej and Esteban, her sister, brother in law, two dogs and my lovely assistant Daniella know very well already. And after nearly killing myself I arrived safe and ticket-less at the location. We talked, and shot, and used our imaginations and had fun. Lots of fun remembering to turtle our knecks, and trying to make Tyra Banks proud. ;)

Krystal & Oscar E-session

So Back in early October, I met Krystal via Gigsalad, a marketing place I had signed up for, for free, back when I first started. I had completely forgotten about gigsalad until I  received an email from a possible bride telling me she had requested me via the site. After checking it out, feeling guilty for not knowing, and writing back and fourth, within no time, not only did the bride Krystal book me, she also became a very awesome friend in no time.  Nearing the end of the year, Krsytal had decided it was time for her E-session and so we did just that. I forgot to mention how rad Oscar is too. Sorry Oscar. And sorry to you all who are reading, for using the word rad. Lol. Any who, he and Ricky got along awesomely as well. We also love their pup named molly. She's just a bite sized cutie!

Christmas Mini's

So I still kinda felt bad that I never posted about some of my sessions, so I thought I could post one picture from each. I know I say this often but I love my clients. They are so sweet, kind. and fun! I can't help but think how awesome they all were. Any who here is is. :)
