Miss Isabella

Months ago I had the pleasure of photographing Zachary Lopez. And just a few days ago (yes that means i'm almost caught up!) I had the honor of photographing Isabella Lopez. If you haven't guessed they're brother and sister. Isabella too is an aspiring actress and an awesome one at that. We hadn't seen each other in a very long time. When I saw her I was immediately transported to the first time I met her. I was visiting my first high school Theater troupe 6822. When I first transfered I went at least once a week to spend time with my friends I missed dearly. Isabella was a freshmen, and didn't know me from the previous year. She came into the costume room where me and a few others were sitting indian style chatting about life, when she asked who I was. Sure most people would say thats a pretty normal way to meet someone but it was her sweet and perky personality that made it memorable. With such curiosity and genuine interest. I replied. And she hugged me and said it was nice to meet me.

Years later I can say my opinion of Isabella has not changed but grown. She's become a beautiful young lady full of promise working hard for what she wants. From the moment we got out of our cars Isabella was talking in accents and making jokes back and fourth. I also had the pleasure of meeting her boyfriend named Zack (this is not the same as her brother also named Zach lol) who ended up being an awesome assistant. I told him if his future law career does not pan out he can make a killing assisting hahaa. No seriously very handy he distracted security twice! They were also so cute together. I couldn't help after all was said and done snapping pictures of them together.

Good Luck on Tuesday Bella! I'm sure you're going to kill it at the auditions!!!!!!

Half a Century of Pure Love!

Had the amazing pleasure of photographing a 50th year wedding anniversary! I love shooting weddings because you get to be a part of a couples first day of the rest of their lives. This past May I got to see a love thats lasted half a century and going strong. Its truly inspiring. Isn't love amazing?
They still hold hands, share a love for Mariachi music and smile at each other like it's nobodies business! I love it! I pray I'll be able to love and laugh 50 years from now next to the love of my life.

The B Family

Mrs.Lara Bukens was a teacher at the high school I attended. When I was shooting for Sugar Muffin pieces I put out a call for girls from newborn-6yrs and Lara replied sending pictures of her girls. Mackenzie and Riley are just so cute. Riley is always smiling and loves to pose being the younger sibling she likes to follow in the steps of her older sister. Convince Mackie and its all smooth sailing from there! I look forward to capturing moments for them in the future and seeing the girls grow up from session to session. Since from the first session to the last you can already see how fast they're both growing, how smart they are becoming, and how their personalities are already blossoming.

Miss Sarah

Oh Sarah! Isn't she lovely!? I met Sarah back in January and she was just so sweet. She is very down to earth and kinda shy which I think adds so much to her personality. Months after meeting we had her session, and although she's timid and speaks in a lower voice then my cuban self, she definitely doesn't show it in her pictures.

Kim Ross

Meet Kimberly Ross. Kim is an old friend from high school. We have an interesting friendship that consists of brutal honesty (I mean brutal), accents, and lots of laughing for no reason (actually its usually from a lack of sleep) Kim after high school left Miami to pursue her dream of scene design in North Carolina (I can't recall the school at the moment but do remember their mascot was a pickle). I don't say it often but I'm very proud of her and all she's already accomplished. And all I know she'll accomplish in the future.

Michelle and Sam

Alright so I'm a little ticked off. I just realized at some point when making the blog temps to make my uploading easier I must have screwed up the size! Which has me a little peeved since they aren't as wide as they should be. I'm also a little sad since I would love to re do it but I've already resized and and done so much that doing it again will take me hours with the amount of sessions.

Lesson 1: Don't procrastinate! Get your blogging done so that a mistake like this could be easy to fix.
Lesson 2: check it before doing it a hundred times.
Lesson 3: not all short cuts are good.

Okay now back to this adorable couple. Now I believe in fate. While I was shooting with Russia's Next Top Model, I received a text from a client saying they were interested in an engagement session. Because I was on set I waited till break to answer. In the meantime I walked into a store at the beach which we were shooting in. Little did I know Michelle (the gorgeous gal below) was the owner of the very store we were shooting in, and the very same who texted me inquiring about the E-Session! We didn't realize we had met until we had a phone conversation regarding her boat idea led to my I just shot on a boat for RNTM and I have tons of ideas.

Lesson 4: It's a small world, but Miami is much much smaller.
Lesson 5: What's meant to be will be. God always has a plan.

Enough of me, now time to read their story as told by Michelle:

Hmm our story, well, we are both from Connecticut. Sam was actually born on a boat, and has been obsessed with anything aquatic ever since. We met when I was on Sam's friend's boat, we had pulled into the Marina where Sam was working and we immediately locked eyes, I was in love!!! It took 2 years after that initial meeting for us to actually get together. Just when we were getting cozy together I received a phone call that I had gotten a job back in Miami. Sam being the amazing person he is packed me and my saab up and drove me down to Florida, we parted ways in a tearful goodbye, saying that we were going to try the "long distance thing" After a brutal 2 months of long phone calls and not seeing each other, Sam called me and said he was moving down. We've been together ever since.---------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh love, how amazing you can be.

Michelle and Erick were so much fun to shoot! They had great idea's that involved off-roading in their SUV and nearly gave my second shooter a concussion. But all in the name of photography right?

Ms.M's Boudoir Session

Okay so I've expressed the love I have for boudoir but I haven't expressed how much I adore this gal right here. Mari met me many months ago when in search of an engagement an boudoir photographer. I'm pretty sure I tell the whole "how we met" story back when I posted her engagement session earlier in the year. She is so kind and even though I was not her wedding photog, I was invited to attend the wedding as a guest and helped her with many details for the wedding. Her and David are amazing together and even though he wasn't here the day we shot these he was the only thing she had on her mind, especially since we shot these the day before her wedding! It was amazing. I'm truly blessed to have met her and david in the whole process and nothing beats clients who become good friends.

The L Family

Durring Nora and Patricks wedding, Nora's brother (whom you may recognize from the blog) approached me with thoughts of having a family session while they were in time. They were only there for a couple days after the wedding and wanted to set something up right away. We set up for that Monday following the wedding. Christian and Ricky were adorable and despite the mosquitos and hot weather they behaved like champs. Nothing beats the interaction kids especially brothers have with each other. It was too cute.

Vanessa's Boudoir Session

Here's another example of why I love boudoir. Vanessa here was great! She new just what she wanted and went for it. She loves her tattoos since each one has a story behind it. And having them photographed was definitely a must for her during the session.

Jackie Boudoir Seesion

There's something amazing about boudoir sessions. I'm not sure if it's the fact the that to me what makes a woman beautiful is confidence (and I always make my gals as confident as possible) or the fact they just always look so free! Not a care in the world while i'm shooting. No worrying about anything! Just being cute and sexy.

This is Jax, and I loved our session. I loved her outfits and her hat! I totally have to get one of those.

Genesis' Twin Maternity Session

I met genesis about 2 years ago when photographing some of my longest clients and their twin girls. Now when genesis called me to tell me she too was expecting twin boys I was beyond happy for her. I couldn't believe all these twins I've been so lucky to photograph in and out of the belly. Genesis is a natural behind the lens and we laughed so much at our own silliness. And her boys (being this is a late post an all) are adorable if I may say so myself. Lots of blessings to you and yours!!!

Jessenia's Grad Session

So yes like I said the next few post are all a little over due. And I'm basically trying to keep it up. I know most people skip them after its been too long but I figure its never to late to write. Besides I like posting here because the quality is so much nicer than on Facebook. Jessenia called me in April to find out if I was available for a graduation session. 2012 Masters graduate, as well as a police academy student, Jessenia is on her way to doing great things including serving and protecting our communities. I loved how she incorporated the blues and I also fell in love with her shoes!!!!

Nora and Patrick's Wedding

So it has been a while since I last posted. About 4 months. Guilty of once again paying to much attention to Facebook and not enough to my poor overlooked blog. Theres so much write about. But first I would like to post about Nora and Patrick. Last time we saw N&P they we were shooting they're engagement session. They were so cute, and so sweet together.

We talked after the wedding. Nora and I were trying to set up a place to meet so we could catch up and I could give her the images from her wedding day. We chit chatted at Starbucks. It was so hot outside all I asked the barista for was a glass of water, while Nora ordered her drink and we grabbed a table. What I love about Nora is how funny she is. We talked about the men and pups in our lives as well as vacations and busy schedules. I couldn't help but think about how amazing she was at the wedding. From the moment Daniella (my second shooter/assistant/right hand gal) and I arrived she welcomed us offering us beverages and food. She looked beautiful! He make up had just been finished. I can remember how relaxed it was till she noticed the time, and called the boys to see if they were dressed. The answer from the guys was obvious. Of course they weren't! They were so busy asking for pictures of themselves drinking and having a good time that getting dressed was second to that. Once we were ready to head to the ceremony area I saw Nora's smile. It was GO time! I headed to the front where I snapped images of Patrick. The children walked down the aisle, then the groomsmen and bridesmaids, and finally Nora. The smile on Nora's face was unforgettable and the glimmer in Patricks eyes, and smile on his face was enough to prove any skeptical love is real, and it doesn't just exist in fairytales. No sir! Love exists in this beer loving, dog owning, hardworking, real life couple. They on that day made a packt to love and be loved forever!
