K & J Wedding

Almost a year ago, I was going back and fourth via email with Karina, we talked about her wedding, her ideas, and everything else including her business as a graphic designer. Her engagement session took place last year, that's when I then met Jonathan who is a writer. They both have such amazingly awesome chemistry, I mean come on look at the picture below (from their e-session).

The day started off wonderful, Ricky and I woke up early and headed to Thalatta Estates and began shooting the details, location and bride. All of a sudden dark clouds began to swoosh in, the wind was starting to speed up and it was making Karina nervous, and even though I tried to be cool and collected, it made me nervous too. Now let me explain why this was so nerve racking. The wedding ceremony was taking place outside, underneath the sun and sky with nothing around to shelter anyone from the rain. Everything had been already set up about an hour before hand, the time cards, fans, lemons...everything. Then it happened. It started to rain. There wasn't really a plan B. We tried to wait it out, but the driver was soon to arrive and the reception was scheduled for a certain time. We had to think fast, I spoke to the bride and groom, we decided to do the ceremony underneath a covered patio area, grabbed an awesome desk and decorated it with the mason jars with flowers, and we had the guests stand instead of sit.

At this point most brides would have cried their eyes out, instead Karina looked at us in the small room as we awaited the DJ to bring the equipment (which luckily was covered) out from the rain and said "As long as Jonathan is there I don't care where we get married"

Aren't those invitation's Amazing? They were designed by the Bride herself.

See those chairs in the distant horizon in the image below? That's where the wedding was taking place. Poor guests that had made it out there had to come running back in the rain.
Just loved the banner! Gotta love etsy :) And the Brunch was just delish
And a mini banner and the cake for the win!!!

Cupid shuffle...Took a while for everyone to learn it but once they did, it was great to watch...I too shuffled in the back while I took some shots of them dancing.
